We All Know the Benefits of Healthy Eating.. Right?

    So then how come we don't actually follow it? What is the Benefits of Healthy Eating? Some of them include feeling better and just generally being healthier.

    But did you know that eating healthier can make you smarter?

    That's right. When making the choice to eat well, choices that include Omega Fatty Acids should absolutely be included.

    These foods increase brain capacity allowing you to absorb information easier

Food is also what the majority of the world turns to under high degrees of stress.

However, most people do not turn to the foods that are essential to helping their body cope.

Instead, caffeinated products and those high in sugar and salt are what we resort to.

When stressed, our body turns to energy cells that are typically used for waking up, feeling rested etc.

When these are depleted even more by continuous ingestion of toxins, it takes longer for us to recover from stress or injury.

People bring veggie platters to funeral receptions for a reason. Not only are they cheaper and easier to make and quick to chomp on, the nutrients help the body turn away from replenished energy cells and use stored fat instead.

The unused energy is then referred back for normal bodily functions, instead of feeling emotionally drained.

Another added Benefit of Healthy Eating is weight loss. Why is that all those skinny people look good? They eat right, barely indulge in junk food and alcohol is a rarity. These are the "rabbits" of society.

Their lunches are made of salads with an oil and vinegar base dressing. They make different choices. Those choices are easy to make once you become accustomed to them.

If you remember a time in your life I am sure you can see the relation. Think of a time when you had to avoid a certain street because there was a bully there, or stopped going to a favorite restaurant due to reasons only known to you.

The change was likely not an easy one to begin with, but gradually became somewhat of a habit. Eating properly is something that when as a habit, you will know the difference. The holidays are a prime example.

Some of my former clients used to "go off program" during this time, but observed hang over like symptoms after. Because their body was not accustomed to all of the additional salts and preservatives in the system!!

Recession $$ Saving Food Tips

One of the biggest problems we are all facing is the increase in the cost of everything and the incease in the pay wages of no one.

I spent $43 on 3 boxes of cereal, a treat for each me and my boys, parmesaen cheese, and a 12 pack of eggs yesterday.

Now that's almost 1/2 of my weekly grocery money.
