Is it better to milk the cow or milk the bank to get the Calcium we need?
Calcium is something we all need. As children we need it to help our bones grow and as adults and seniors we need it to protect them. We all go through the stages of life and as our bodies grow and change, often our eating habits do as well.
However we all seem to forget the old saying of "A warm glass of milk helps to settle you before bed" to combat fatigue. But for some reason we can all remember "an apple a day keeps the doctor away".
Milk is great. But the best way to get it in is not from the cow. The best way for the body to absorb all of the nutrients that can be derived from milk is in supplement form.
It is best taken before bed as to assist the body with breaking it down. (Milk makes the body work hard to break it down leaving us feeling tired.)
You should still drink milk though..
There are numerous benefits to drinking milk from the carton. The only reason I am focusing on the supplement here is often the regulated milk industry has many stipulations on cleaning and processing the product (as it should) and some of the nutrients are lost. A calcium in supplement form with no other additives binders and fillers is the best route to take.
This can help with sleep patterns as well. When your body is working to break down the nutrients best to have it do this while you sleep. Wouldn't want to be sleeping on the job now would we?
