Just how are we supposed to follow the Canada Food Guide? The allotments seem unbearable and overbearing, never mind how to break it all down.
I've done that for you.
The links below are broken down into different pages based on Age, Sex, and show all allotments.
Just like the Canada Food Guide, except I have narrowed down the different types of foods into a complete meal plan for one day.
It is easy to follow and has all of the required provisions that Health Canada deems a nutritious day of eating.
The Canada Health Food Guide is an amazing tool if used properly. They have incorporated numerous new foods to meet the needs of todays family and also with the understanding that people just don't have time.
One example is where you can see "Bagels" listed under the Grains Section. Myself personally, I see one bagel as comparable to 6 slices of white bread.
However, I don't make the rules, nor am I hear to question the level of nutrition as based by the Health Department.
I am hear to make breaking it down and understanding the allotments and portions easier to incorporate into your daily life.
This is not a diet plan. The pages below are intended to make deducing the plan as simple as a walk in the park.
You can print out the page and follow it for a day. Not that hard right? Simple, all you have to do is click on the link that best applies to you or your family, and follow the one day meal plan.
That's it. So when it comes to following Canada's Health Food guide, you are just a click away.
