PMS : Grr.... Why are we soooo crabby, angry and grouchy around this time? Well, most of us that is. Just prior to and during our cycle, the body is flushing out so many nutrients now is the time to replenish. Pre Menstrual Symptoms come in all forms. Sugar cravings, salt cravings, anger...anything the list goes on.

We are all different, but we all have one thing in common. To one degree or another, we all suffer from PMS. Some have no cramping and it is a friendly visit, however they crave sugar like there is no tomorrow.

Others dread it as it can leave them curled up in a ball of pain laying on the couch for days.

It used to be that Doctor's didn't believe some of these symptoms and it was all "in her head". Thank goodness for the most part it is no longer like that. The old school way of thinking is still present, but not as ominous.

Today women can speak of their ailments without the family doctor laying "pity" down.

The best way to deal with PMS?

Eat properly and include liver in your diet on a regular basis especially when nearing your cycle. Since the body is really flushing out essential nutrients, it must be replaced.

During this time liver that is so high in iron is what you should be eating. It helps to replenish some of the lost nutrients thereby assisting to decrease the pain and discomfort of pre menstrual symptoms.

It is during your cycle with all of the pain is the time to get your eating habits in check. Not only will it make you feel better, it will help lower the risk of beginning menopause at the ripe 'ol age of 30.

PMS is something not everyone suffers from, but for those of us who have been prescribed different medications or tried other methods to enhance our lives at this time something as easy as eating right can make all the difference in the world.

What is the body lacking in this time?

Iron. The best way to get it in? Liver. Organic liver would be best, as it has much less toxins and fat in it.

The worse the Premenstrual Symptoms, typically the worse food diet you have. Begin by eliminating foods that have high fat content, as well as those with preservatives. I would suggest eating Liver even just once prior to the start of your menstruation, and at least once during the entire cycle. If you are experiencing pre-menopause I would recommend eating it frequently to keep your iron levels balanced with the rest of you.
