Pears: When is the best time to eat this fruit?

And why are Pears so sweet?

Pears are one of the sweetest fruit...

They are small enough to fit into your hand and so wonderfully yummy that their juices just slide down the side of your mouth as your eating it.

Ok, so not that great if you’re at work and the boss is watching you eat.

And what if you are a Diabetic? Regardless of what type you are if you are eating pears you should do so with caution.

This produce when ripe is so sweet it can send a Diabetic into shock. Why?

The sugars in this fruit can increase from minimal amounts of sugar to more than a teaspoon in just a day or two.

The best time to eat it is when it is still hard and a little green. It is harder to chew yes, but safer on the blood sugar count.

For those people afflicted with this disease that teaspoon could mean the world.

When crashing or spiking blood sugar levels take the body from a delicate balance to its most fragile state in a mind-boggling few precious moments, every ounce of sugar counts.

What to do for someone experiencing Diabetic Shock? More sugar. It is the only way to stabilize the onset of an attack.

Either with a hard candy to suck on, or a candy cane, get it to them and get it to them fast. Call your emergency number and get them help.

However, most Diabetics know they are and will never run the risk of going into shock.
