Atlantic Salmon Dinner!

A Great and Healthy Salmon Dinner for the Whole Family!

This is a wonderful Salmon dinner for one, two, three or more. The colours of the food are delightful and pleasing to eye and stomach alike!

Regardless of which fish you are eating, it is always best to purchase it frozen. That way you can almost guarantee that it came "straight off the boat". Regardless of size one thing to remember is that when cooked this fish does not change colour. Most aquatic animals will change white or a little different shade of colour but not this one. It is cut pink and it cooks pink.

What you'll need for this meal.

Salmon (8 oz. should be plenty)

Garlic

Rice (I prefer Brown it takes longer but the taste is soooo worth it!)

Asparagus

Dill

Lemon

This meal is pretty quick to make so it really depends on what kind of rice you are using as to when you start everything else.

First pre-heat the oven to 350 degree Celsius, and roast your garlic for about 10 minutes.

If your rice takes 20 minutes to make better get it started right after your garlic comes out of the oven.

Set the fish on a cookie tray that is covered with tin foil. Make three or four vertical cuts approximately half way through the fish. Then peel and place your roasted garlic inside the slits you have already made on the fish. Using 1 1/2 to 2 TBSP of oil put on the bottom of one side of the cookie sheet. (Your salmon will be sitting in tin foil like a little boat on the other side.)

Using as much or as little asparagus as you would like put them on the cookie sheet and rotate them so they are all covered with oil. Cut one lemon in half.

Sprinkle asparagus and salmon with squeezed lemon and with diced dill.

Bake in oven for about 10- 15 minutes at 350 degrees Celsius.

Salmon Dinner

Your fish and asparagus should be ready about the same time. The bigger the catch the longer it will take to cook.

If you have a rather large slab of fish than it is best to put it in a pie dish and keep the asparagus on one side of the cookie sheet.

This way, when the asparagus is done, and if you still need time to cook the fish, you can remove the asparagus and still cook your meat.

When the fish is thoroughly cooked and your rice is done, slice, dice and serve! So whether you are trolling the lakes in your 40 foot Ranger Bass boat trying to be the next big angler, or you're swapping stories with your local grocer about salmon eating..

Keep these tips in mind when cooking will not only work out better for you brain function (because you'll be eating Omega 3 Fatty Acid foods), but work well for your body as well
