That is the question.
To Salt or not to... That is the question isn't it? People across the world are constantly adding salted products for more flavor to their foods.
What they don't realize is that this condiment is not a flavoring guide at all. Most of us grew up using this to zest up our foods however, the sodium chloride that is mass produced by the billions is one of the worst things for your body.
From clogging arteries to burning your tongue, sodium chloride is a dangerous product to consume.
Why is it so bad?
When sodium chloride is ingested into the system and the body does not know or understand how to break it down. The body typically responds with an increase in arthritis and other joint pain, kidney problems and worse. Why? Because this is where it crystallizes. Just ask someone with gout how it feels when they can't move and every single joint screams with pain.Sea Salt is better right?
No. This is a misrepresentation of the facts. What most of us don't know is that sodium is already naturally occurring in the foods that we eat. The recommended daily intake of sodium is 500 mg for an adult. However, with that being said there is 150 mg of sodium in 1 cup of regular green lettuce. And if you are following a nutrition guide you will get all the salt that your body can handle.
Once your body becomes accustomed to not having the regular additions of sodium based products, you will not even notice it is gone.
The "D-L"
Let’s be honest here. Where I come from, we put this stuff on the street so that our cars and trucks won’t skid off the road and crash in to a tree….. Granted, it is not the same type of sodium chloride found on our tables , but considering that without one on the street it can kill you, but without it on your food it could save your life, you tell me what your going to do.We’ve all heard the old saying “Don’t eat yellow snow”? Well, would you put it on your food if it was dirty and black…?
Don't get me wrong
The first few days is no walk in the park. Your body does go through a desalinization period (where the salt is being removed from the system). It can be tough, but how amazing does food taste when there is no man-made sodium chloride covering it.There is no need to store it anymore. Your body is not a temple for junk food and toxins to hang back and have a luau (Hawaiian party).
After just two short days of no extra alkali being ingested, you will begin to feel the difference.
Go ahead and give it a try!
