Starving yourself is probably one of the worst things you can do. Why? Well.. Back in the olden days when I was working a part-time job in High School, and swam Syncronized Swimming, and was on the soccer team and did cheerleading, it was often that I skipped a meal and lost a pound or two..

However, that was over 15 (:-o) years ago! Holy moly.. Now that I have fulled aged myself haha lets look at it a little closer. By doing all of those sports my metabolism was through the roof. (Your Metabolism gets boosted through exercise.)

It actually becomes so fast that You actually can keep it going when you are sleeping. Some studies show though, that with every 10 years your body slows the process by about 5%. While that doesn't sound like a lot, it can be one or 10+ over a year.

As we get older most of us leave the active lifestyle to the high school days and join the Freshman 15 Club. After that life starts. Stress is through the roof, children of our own, and their active lives take precedence.

Eating habits change, our days become longer and the sports we used to love may not be offered in the area. So, whether or not you are consciously starving yourself to get skinny it does NOT make the Diet of the Year calender. Why?

Basically what happens when you get up is you need to boost your metabolism and give your body energy for the day. That is where breakfast comes in. If you skitter past breakie and wait until lunch, it sends your body into a small starvation mode. And that means that when your body does eat, it will automatically convert some or all of it to fat storage cells instead of using it as energy burning to increase your metabolism.

Same thing if you hop over lunch. It ends up being a fat feast for most people. Now not everyone is like that.

However... Have you ever seen those women who are in their 40's and have large "pregnant looking" stomaches? And thier not pregnant... Now, that doesn't happen to everyone BUT, it is also a side effect of skipping meals.

It happens because when under significant amounts of stress, the body automatically (puts more fat on the tummy and bum/thigh area. No, I don't know why but it does!) The best way to avoid this is to stop starving yourself to diet and eat.

What if eating in the morning makes you sick?

My only suggestion for this is to start as small as Humanly possible for yourself. If you can even eat one bite of a cracker it is a start. After a few days of eating something small, you should notice your body changing. How will it change? Notice how each day you will be hungry at different times.

Instead of being hungry for the first time in the day at 2pm, it will get earlier and earlier. This is the best way to ensure your body treats you right in the years to come. If you have to start somewhere to help you eat right and stop starving yourself, begin there.

No one is perfect and ask anyone. The right way to diet is by eating. When or if you can get in some exercise you should notice a difference within a very short amount of time.

Starving Yourself Skinny is not and never was the way to a long life.
