Yes My Maman was french!

Hmmm never heard that about the whole wheat. When I make it I don't use half the flour and it still tastes fantastic. I don't notice a difference in it being heavier either.

I always read that when making bread you can only use half the amount of required flour in whole wheat or it will be heavy as a brick.
Please let me know before I attemp a whole wheat version.
Your maman was french? Would explain why it was so good.
